As a newlywed couple, my husband, Levi, and I wanted to spruce up our first home together and make it our own.

We had heard about the Shift10 movement and wanted to do our part for Wabash County, but with our busy work schedules we had to make the most of our time.

We were able to purchase all of our paint, flooring, and remodeling supplies right here in Mt. Carmel. And since we didn’t have to drive far, we were able to get more done in a short time. Now we’ve got a fresh new space we can call our own.

We say it saves time to Shift 10!

I knew I wanted to Shift 10, so at the last minute I decided to check out our local merchants to see what pet supplies they had in store. “Over the last several years the Mt Carmel Golf Course has lost many mature trees due to storms. Since we live near the course and know and appreciate it’s value to the community – a fundraising project was started to donate a tree in memory, or in honor, of a loved one. Some businesses and civic organizations also participated in this project. Through the donations of many- 40 plus trees were purchased and recently planted at various points on the course. We wanted to make sure to purchase these trees from a local business. Ryan Jones at Rural King was contacted and made sure we received quality trees at a great price. Not only did he make sure the price was right – he delivered them at no charge.Vickie Jackson Jones kept us informed throughout the project as to their arrival date as well.
