Visit these Wabash County retail locations for great deals the 10th of every month in 2015! Check back often as businesses can be added at any time during the year!
As a newlywed couple, my husband, Levi, and I wanted to spruce up our first home together and make it our own.
We had heard about the Shift10 movement and wanted to do our part for Wabash County, but with our busy work schedules we had to make the most of our time.
We were able to purchase all of our paint, flooring, and remodeling supplies right here in Mt. Carmel. And since we didn’t have to drive far, we were able to get more done in a short time. Now we’ve got a fresh new space we can call our own.
We say it saves time to Shift 10!
“When I needed some pet supplies for my new cat, Cozmo, I considered going online to purchase them because I thought the products would be less expensive. I knew I wanted to Shift 10, so at the last minute I decided to check out our local merchants to see what pet supplies they had in store. It turns out that our local stores had everything that I needed, and I even saved some money on the shipping costs! Now both Cozmo and my wallet are happy. It saves to be a Shifter!” – Erin McClane
This is John Evans. “As owners of a Wabash County business, my wife Jane and I decided that We Shift Ten didn’t just mean individuals. We found several ways to shift ten, one of which was to have our staff’s T-shirts printed right here at home. We received fantastic service at a competitive price.”
We’d love to hear about ways you or your business can Shift Ten! Tell us how on the We Shift 10 facebook page.
“As a busy mom of two school-age boys, I like to save time and money when I can! That’s why it’s important for my family to purchase the boys’ school supplies right here in Mt. Carmel. I was able to buy every item I needed and I even spent less money than I had budgeted. We say it’s easier to get ready for the school year when you shop Wabash County.” – Lesley Hipsher
“Over the last several years the Mt Carmel Golf Course has lost many mature trees due to storms. Since we live near the course and know and appreciate it’s value to the community – a fundraising project was started to donate a tree in memory, or in honor, of a loved one. Some businesses and civic organizations also participated in this project. Through the donations of many- 40 plus trees were purchased and recently planted at various points on the course. We wanted to make sure to purchase these trees from a local business. Ryan Jones at Rural King was contacted and made sure we received quality trees at a great price. Not only did he make sure the price was right – he delivered them at no charge.Vickie Jackson Jones kept us informed throughout the project as to their arrival date as well. Not only did We Shift 10 – but Rural King provided a great product to the project and to the community!” Donna Hoskins Beyke
“Just came from Shopko instead of WalMart and found some great deals!” Lucy Ann Hudson Evans
“When my wife, Kelsey, and I decided to do a garden project, we price checked and found some supplies cheaper outside of Mt. Carmel. But we wanted to Shift 10, and figured we’d save some time and gas money buying in town. We did, and the business even offered to price match the competition! We saved the mileage and the time – and it didn’t cost us a penny more!” Trey Beckerman
“Getting my diet dr. Pepper’s from Famous J’s instead of Sonic :)” Cassandra Goldman
“Finding the right birthday present for a sister-in-law at The Corner – they make shifting 10 easy!” Judy Larson
“Shifted today. Was logged into and ready to buy online but remembered ShopKo probably has the toy I am looking for.” Margaret Felts
“Grocery shopping by ad matching with Borowiaks IGA and using the Gas Card at Buehlers Buy Low. Saving same amount as driving across state lines by shopping locally and taking advantage of opportunities like these.” Jimmie Lyn Mitchell
“We bought 3 pairs of shoes from Shopko and I plan on looking out there first. Was never able to do that before. Next time I need tires or oil change I will shop here first instead of Big O Tires.” Danielle Carwile
